The Trophic Levels
The Japanese Tsunami destroyed or reduced many of the trophic levels. In the trophic levels the source of light is obtied by the sunlight , due to the deep levels of water both on land and in the ocean , the sunlight was unable to reach the producers. This limited the amount of producers, such as the many different types of seaweed. This lower the first consumers, such as the mollusks, which included snails and slugs.Due to this the second and third consumers, such as dolphins, sharks, and octopus, within many more, where severally decreased in population. All this things when dead, are food to the detritivores, such as the spaghetti worms and the amphipod crustaceans, which will have large amounts of food at first , then their food will be racily reduced. Killing alot of them off as well.
