The Water Cycle
The tsunami affected the water cycle by limiting its reservoirs. Water is about 75 percent of the earth, living organisms also contain large amounts of water in them. By killing off so many of the organisms, the water cycle lost many water reservoirs.
The picture on the left shows the water cycle and how it's processes. When the tsunami hit Japan the reservoirs, such as the ponds, lakes, and ground water, all increased in the amounts of water. while the ocean reservoir decreased. The tsunami also caused all this water to be polluted.

The Carbon Cycle
The tsunami impacted the carbon cycle in the reduction of it's reservoirs. One of carbons largest reservoirs is in organisms. With the killing of so many people , animals, and especially plants, the carbon cycle lost very important reservoirs.
Nitrogen Cycle
The nitrogen cycle was affected by the Japanese Tsunami in the same way as the water cycle and the oxygen cycle, which is with the lost of it reservoirs. Nitrogen is stored in organisms bodies, and in plants roots. The tsunami killed off many of the this plants animals, and humans. Therefore limiting the reservoirs of the nitrogen cycle.
